On November 8, 2024, Saigon Businessmen Club organized a discussion with the theme “Healthy entrepreneurs, stable businesses”. Here, doctors and businessmen shared a lot of knowledge and experience about health care.

During the program, Medical Doctor Tran Chi Cuong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Neurological Interventions, Director of S.I.S Can Tho International General Hospital, warned about the dangers of lack of knowledge about stroke. Many people mistakenly think a stroke patient has been hit by wind, so instead of taking the patient to the hospital, they apply oil, shave the wind, cupping, and let the patient lie down to rest. By the time they get to the hospital, the patient has not survived.

According to Dr. Tran Chi Cuong, the world currently records about 15 million strokes each year, every 45 seconds someone has a stroke and every three minutes someone dies. The death rate from stroke in Vietnam is higher than the world. People with stroke tend to get younger and younger, especially those who work stressfully at businesses, work overtime, start businesses… “Many people suddenly die under the age of 50, at an age of dedication with many responsibilities. Therefore, entrepreneurs must pay special attention to this disease,” Dr. Cuong said.
